RFC brief 2017-01-31 Main Role of Orange PI

  1. Orange Pi acts as hub gathering data from I/O modules connected by RS485 or different way.
  2. I/O Modules will communicate by wifi (tests), than communication through modbus/profinet (to be set further)
  3. Orange Pi collect data with stable intervals (1000 Hz)
  4. Data are stored in internal ram, than maybe be local databases to achieve protection against power-loose
  5. To test we can test own communication model - the lates is to implement DDS
  6. System configuration the best to be set by WEB because of adressing of I/O Modules
  7. It can be done by broadcast to ask if there are any new I/O modules to detect them
  8. It is possible to assign addresses of I/O Modules by configuring websites
    Note: There might be some obslolete scenarios of web managing by using configuration file- which can be simplier.
